Integrity: The director of Kirkuk grain trade was arrested on charges of wasting public money

{Local: Al Furat News} The Federal Integrity Commission revealed the issuance of an arrest and investigation warrant against (15) employees of the General Company for Grain Trade in Kirkuk, including the company's director; On the grounds of accusation of harming public money.
The investigation department of the authority stated that the investigative judge specialized in looking into integrity issues in the governorate had issued an arrest and investigation order against (15) employees of the General Company for Grain Trade in Kirkuk, including the company’s director; Based on the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code.
The department explained that the arrest and investigation order was issued on the grounds of the accusation of harming public money; And the existence of manipulation in the degree of quality of the strategic wheat crop, as well as the theft of quantities of this crop, indicating that the value of the damage caused to public money amounted to more than seven billion dinars.
The department continued, noting the implementation of the arrest warrant issued against the accused, and their referral to the investigative judge, who is specialized in looking into integrity cases, who decided to arrest them pending investigation; Based on the provisions of the judgment article.
It should be noted that the warrant of arrest and investigation issued by the judiciary came against the background of the seizure carried out by the staff of the Commission’s investigation office in the governorate on the ninth of last March in the Riyadh warehouse complex of the General Company for Grain Trade. In response to what was stated in the letter of the Prime Minister’s Office, which includes a request for investigation regarding what was stated in the report of the Commission for Zeroing the Complex, which includes a waste of (7,042,000,000) billion dinars, as it was moved to the company’s headquarters and the priorities for the marketed quantities tables were set, linked with the names of the negligent and presented to the judicial authorities .
