Mubasher: Dhi Qar Governorate Investment Authority announced today, Thursday, the number of investment licenses granted during the current year, and indicated that a plan was drawn up to revive lagging projects and revive the economic sector in the governorate.

The head of the commission, Hamid Al-Hasouneh, told the Iraqi News Agency "INA", today, Thursday, that "316 investment licenses were granted during the past ten months, at a cost of two trillion dinars (1.36 billion dollars)."
And he indicated that "these licenses would provide thousands of job opportunities for the people of the province, which would lead to the recovery of the economy in the province."
He explained that "the housing sector acquired about 38 licenses to build housing complexes with different specifications distributed over the areas of Nasiriyah Center and Districts, while industrial projects ranked second and agricultural projects ranked third."
He pointed out that "the 2021 investment projects outperformed the total projects of previous years, in order to simplify procedures and motivate investors to compete for available opportunities and attract capital and local and foreign investment companies."
Al-Hassona expected that "the value of the projects available for investment during 2022 will reach more than 8 trillion dinars, and its future investment plan will focus on productive economic sectors such as agriculture, industry, tourism and the residential sector, and the offering of thousands of housing units at the governorate level."
