The Electoral Commission responded to the fact that there were “threats and pressures” on it to influence the results of the parliamentary elections that took place on the tenth of last month.
A member of the Commission's media said in a televised statement: "There are no threats or internal or external pressures, and the Commission completed its work in manual counting and sorting two days ago, and we did not receive such threats."
He added, "We do not need warnings or threats regarding the secretariat of the Electoral Commission over the votes of voters and the rights of candidates, and it never hides secrets from anyone," stressing that "the Board of Commissioners is serious about the process of fairness to all."
Regarding the date of announcing the final results of the elections, he said: “This will be in the next few days and very soon, after the judicial authority approves the results of the appeals and decides on them.”
He pointed out that "the commission will finish, tomorrow or tomorrow, the results of the appeals to the judicial body," noting that "15 governorates, including Baghdad, in its two parts, Rusafa and Karkh, submitted appeals with the results, with the exception of Wasit, Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk."
And he indicated that "16,969 stations were counted and sorted, and their results were almost identical to the electronic vote, but it could change some of the counting and sorting of the election results."
A member of the Commission’s media strongly denied “the existence of (servers) in any country, and they are present only in the National Office in Baghdad,” noting that “only 3,681 devices were stopped due to a defect in it out of 58 thousand devices,” noting that “the electoral law does not permit manual counting. comprehensive.”
