Al-Kazemi to the Italian Foreign Minister: The importance of benefiting from your experience in fighting corruption and organized crime networks

{Political: Al Furat News} Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi discussed, today, Thursday, with the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Luigi Di Maio, and his accompanying delegation, the bilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing their development in various political and economic fields and in the field of the war on terrorism.
The two sides discussed, according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office, a copy of which was received by Al Furat News Agency, "the development of the relationship between the two countries in the security field, and the training of Iraqi forces under the framework of NATO, especially with the transition of the relationship with the international coalition to a non-combat role."
He added, "The meeting also witnessed a discussion of cultural cooperation within the framework of UNESCO, and through communication with Italian universities and institutions and their Iraqi counterparts."
During the meeting, the Prime Minister referred to "the depth of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Rome, and the aspiration for more joint cooperation. His Excellency stressed the importance of benefiting from Italy's experience in combating corruption and organized crime networks."
For his part, the Italian Foreign Minister affirmed his country's support for Iraq and its government, praising the Iraqi government's efforts to bring views closer and enhance local and regional stability, and its repercussions on international stability.
