Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that “in the near future there will be Iranian-Saudi talks in Baghdad.”
During a press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fouad Hussein, Amir Abdullahian indicated that "the position of some European countries, such as France, was not constructive during the nuclear negotiations in Vienna," adding that "the European troika did not present any proposals during the talks," while he thanked China. and Russia for their positions during these talks.
He stressed that "Iran will not accept that it be given one concession, while the other party receives 10 concessions."
Regarding relations with Saudi Arabia, the Iranian foreign minister said, “We are still waiting for convincing answers from Riyadh about the reason for its reluctance to allow the Iranian ambassador to leave Yemen for Iran,” explaining that “Iran presented in the last round of talks a set of proposals to Saudi Arabia.”
He continued, "We are ready to exchange committees between the embassies of Iran and Saudi Arabia, and prepare for the reopening of embassies between Riyadh and Tehran."
