Al-Kazemi arrives in Maysan, accompanied by two ministers and military and security leaders
Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, arrived in Maysan Governorate, on Wednesday, accompanied by the Ministers of Defense and Interior, and a number of leaders of the security services.
Earlier today, a local source told Shafaq News Agency, that Al-Kazemi will hold a security meeting with the leaders in the province, upon his arrival in Maysan, and will also meet the family of Judge Ahmed Al-Faisal.
Judge Ahmed Faisal Al-Saadi was brutally assassinated last Saturday, after he received 15 bullets from unidentified gunmen in Al-Moalemeen neighborhood in front of the notary public building in the center of Al-Amarah city, according to what a security source told the agency.
On Sunday, the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq strongly condemned the assassination of the judge in charge of drug cases in Maysan Governorate, calling on the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to reconsider the security leadership responsible for the security and stability of the province.
Subsequently, Al-Kazemi ordered the formation of the Maysan Operations Command, to assume command and control of all security services in the province, and assigned Major General Muhammad Al-Zubaidi the tasks of the operations command there.
And yesterday, Tuesday, the head of the National Security Apparatus, Hamid Al-Shatri, decided to relieve the director of Maysan Governorate security from his post, according to a brief statement issued by the Security Media Cell.
