On Sunday, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hakim Al-Zamili, sent an invitation regarding the outcomes of the Iraq Reconstruction Conference held in Kuwait.
A statement by his office, Mawazine News, received a copy of it, stated that Al-Zamili received the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, in his office today, the Kuwaiti ambassador to Iraq, "Salem Al-Zamanan."
Al-Zamili said that everyone is optimistic about the start of solid and strong relations between Iraq and Kuwait, especially after closing the abhorrent compensation file that was caused by the policies of the former dictatorial regime, and the Iraqi people bore its burdens, stressing that after closing this file, the governments of the two countries should start moving towards opening a new page and ensuring that Consolidating the good relationship on the basis of cooperation and mutual respect in the service of the two brotherly peoples.
He pointed out that "the basis of the relationship between the two countries should be built in accordance with the principle of good neighborliness and good intentions, and a balanced policy away from offensive statements that try to disturb the relationship between the two neighboring countries, calling for the importance of activating the outcomes of the international conference on the reconstruction of Iraq held in Kuwait in 2018, and urging countries to fulfill its commitments, as well as activating investment frameworks, accelerating the project of creating joint industrial and commercial free zones between the two sides, and coordinating the necessary coordination between the security services of both countries regarding the border control process.
