, head of the victory coalition Haider al-Abadi said today, Tuesday, that Iraq's sovereignty is "one and indivisible," expressing his "absolute" rejection of what Erbil was subjected to.
A statement by al-Abadi's office, received by Mawazine News, stated that the latter had made a phone call with the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, "about the current situation and the political blockage, and the absolute rejection of the aggression that Erbil was subjected to, as the sovereignty of Iraq is one and indivisible, and the Iraqis are They are committed to good neighborliness and not to allow their lands to be used to attack neighboring countries, as stipulated by the Iraqi constitution.
The statement added, "Erbil's steadfastness and participation with all Iraqis with blood and sacrifices in the face of the criminal terrorist attack of ISIS was also recalled."
On the political issue, the statement referred to "discussing ways of cooperation and making efforts to address the political blockage that does not serve people's interests and harms economic development, and emphasizes the principle of national partnership in managing the country and its resources for the benefit of all Iraqis without discrimination."
