    Today, Friday, the Basra parliament office revealed the most important outcomes of the emergency meeting of deputies.
    A statement from the office stated, "Basra governorate witnessed this day, the sixth of the blessed month of Ramadan, corresponding to 4/8/2022, an emergency meeting of members of the House of Representatives representing the province of Basra at the headquarters of the Parliament's office.
    1- Inviting the Ministries of Agriculture and Trade to expedite the granting of exceptional import licenses for foodstuffs and agricultural products to support the masses of Basra to curb the rise in prices.
    2- Demanding the allocation of 10% of the amounts allocated to the law of emergency support for food security and development for the oil-producing governorates.
    3- Demanding the allocation of 2% of the amounts of the emergency support law for food security and development for the poorest governorates, according to the data of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning
    4- To proceed with filing a lawsuit before the Federal Court about the failure to disburse Basra’s petrodollar dues for the accumulated debts, which amount to about 22 trillion dinars.
    5- Hosting the director of electrical energy production for the southern region to clarify the investment contract in the Shatt al-Basra and Rumaila production station, with reservations on the contracts.
    The statement continued, "This meeting was attended by members of the House of Representatives: Representative Iyad Muhammad al-Muhammadawi, Representative Rasoul al-Halfi, Representative Mustafa Jabbar Sanad, Representative Ali Abdul-Sattar al-Machkoor, Representative Adnan al-Jabri, Representative Zahra al-Bashari, Representative Ahmed Taha al-Rubaie, Representative Ghassan Adnan al-Eidani, Representative Yassin Hassan Taher, MP Suhaila Awfi Al-Ajrash.
