The Iraqi Exhibition Company held, on Tuesday, a meeting with representatives of relevant ministries, government institutions and security agencies on the Interpol program to assess the work of national capabilities and training.
The company's general manager, Sarmad Taha Saeed, said, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "a meeting was held that included the director of the company's import department with representatives of the relevant security services and representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, interior, defense, finance, higher education, health, Industry, agriculture, science and technology, as well as the Baghdad Interpol office, the Border Ports Authority, the National Control and Industrial Development Authority, the Customs Police Directorate and the Chemical Class Directorate, to discuss the working mechanism of the Interpol program to assess the work of national capacities and training.
Saeed added that "the aim of this meeting is to discuss a realistic, interactive scenario and to assess the extent to which the capabilities of national authorities are working to confront radiological and nuclear threats and to present national needs in the field of training and equipment through the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol)."
