    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the operation (claw-lock) launched by his country against the Kurdistan Workers' Party, is taking place in accordance with international law.
    He added in a press conference held at the Presidential Complex in the capital, Ankara, that Turkey continues its operations against terrorists abroad, to protect its security, and pointed out that the goal of the operation is to cleanse the Zab region of terrorist elements, noting that the operation is taking place in line with international law, based on the Charter The United Nations and access to bilateral agreements with its neighbours.

    The Turkish newspaper, "Star", reported today, Tuesday, that the Turkish forces intend to advance to a depth of 50 to 60 km into Iraqi territory as part of its operation (Claw Lock).
    The newspaper said that the Turkish army does not plan to leave northern Iraq completely, but rather intends to deploy temporary bases to control the region and will not withdraw from Iraqi territory before the end of the threats.
