The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan confirmed, on Wednesday, that the dialogue with the Kurdistan Democratic Party is still suspended, indicating that the coordination of the forces of the framework alongside the Patriotic Union has strengthened us in the political position related to our entitlement to nominate the President of the Republic.
The leader of the Union, Ghiath al-Sorji, said in a statement to "Information", that "dialogues with the Kurdistan Democratic Party have been suspended for more than a month, and there is nothing new to mention, due to the latter's adherence to the acquisition of all sovereign positions that belong to the Kurdish component's share, especially the presidency of the republic. .
Al-Sorji added, “The National Union will reject any initiative to restore dialogues with the Democrat if it is conditional,” stressing that “the coordination of the framework forces’ standing alongside the National Union has made us stronger in the political position related to our entitlement to nominate the President of the Republic.”
The Kurdistan Democratic Party had earlier acknowledged that it has different views and different decisions that prevail in the tripartite alliance, noting that it is in the interest of the coalition parties to stay together. Ended / 25 AD
