, the General Company for Ports of Iraq, on Saturday, released statistics on the number of incoming and outgoing tonnages, the number of ships and oil derivatives tankers for the southern port of Umm Qasr for the month of April.
The Director General of Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a statement received by Mawazine News, that the southern port of Umm Qasr works with the import and export of goods, merchandise and oil derivatives, and receives ships loaded with ration card items, and thus it is considered one of the comprehensive commercial ports.
He added that the port received, during the month of April of this year, (26) marine units that varied between (exporting oil derivatives, containers, raw sugar, edible oil, rice and wheat). And coordination between port management, unloading, shipping and marine navigation in the docking and take-off of ships and oil tankers. Ended 29/R77
