Adviser to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, considered that the electrical connection with the Gulf states is an emergency support and not a substitute for reorganizing the electricity sector.

Mazhar Muhammad Salih said that linking electric power networks is an important hub for cooperation and building the foundations for joint development and regional stability.

Saleh added, "The renaissance of our country is the cornerstone and has a role in the stability and prosperity of the region. There is no stability without Iraq."

He explained, "The electrical interconnection is an important part of the networking system in the region and has a role in organizing the future of energy and exchanging the surplus of it among neighboring countries."

Saleh stressed that Iraq, with its geostrategic location, represents the cornerstone between the Arab region and the non-Arab region and has an active role in laying the foundations for stability, especially across the economic and financial sectors.
