Today, Wednesday, the General Company for Grain Trade in Kirkuk announced the start of distributing the dues of farmers for the wheat crop, amounting to 46 billion dinars, while referring to the amount of wheat marketed by the farmers.
The director of the company, Hussein Qanbar, said, in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, and followed by "Economy News", that "the company has started distributing the dues of farmers, the fifth meal, at a value of 46 billion dinars to all locations of the Kirkuk branch."
He added, "The process of receiving the wheat crop is still going on in all the receiving centers in the governorate," noting that "the quantity of wheat received from farmers has reached more than 181,900 tons since the start of the campaign until now."
He explained, "The reason for farmers' demand to market wheat to the Ministry of Trade is due to the government fulfilling its obligations with farmers regarding financial dues."
