More than 222 million dollars leave Iraq in the form of remittances from the currency auction in one day

Shafaq News/ Cash sales of the dollar decreased in the Central Bank auction today, Sunday, while foreign remittances increased.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 240 million and 43 thousand and 106 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added; The cash purchase of dollars by banks decreased the value of total sales to reach 17 million and 800 thousand, while the rest of 222 million and 243 thousand and 108 dollars went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits.
Our correspondent indicated that 33 banks have responded to requests to enhance balances abroad, and 12 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 127 mediation companies.
