The reasons for the delay in its issuance revealed .. Al-Kazemi’s Ministry of Interior: We need “raw” national cards
Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Interior addressed, on Sunday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, its need for raw national cards.
The ministry said in a statement received by Shafak News Agency, that it "seeks, with all its joints and formations, to provide services and provide them to citizens, simplify procedures and move to electronic work instead of paper, and the ministry would like to show citizens its procedures for providing the national card as well as the reasons for delaying providing them with it, as it worked on preparing a file Integrated to the Office of the Prime Minister about the need of the Directorate of National Card Affairs for raw cards with the aim of filling the need of citizens in this field, due to the failure to approve the federal budget for the current year 2022, for the purpose of proceeding with contracting procedures according to the achieved ratio (1/1) of the 2022 budget, which authorized our Ministry Signing a supply contract (five million raw cards).
And the ministry indicated, “On 7/8/2022, the approval of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers was obtained in its letter of number (28445), in order to conclude the contract and proceed with the contracting procedures, and the Ministry of Interior obtained approval to contract (five million raw cards) after presenting the subject. Before the Ministerial Council for Economy in the Council of Ministers within the schedule of the investment plan of the Ministry of the Interior for the year 2022, as the provision of financial credit was supported in the two aforementioned cases, and approval was made to prepare a technical and economic feasibility study and audit committees for this study and to approach the Contracts Directorate in the Ministry to proceed with the contracting procedures as soon as possible Under the supervision and follow-up of the Minister, the Senior Undersecretary, the Director of Civil Status, Passports and Residence, and the Director of National Card Affairs, and accordingly, in the next few days, the Directorate of National Card Affairs will be provided with (10 million raw cards) to meet the needs of citizens, due to their increasing demand for them.
