Today, Saturday, the representative of the Sadiqoon bloc, Uday Awad, confirmed his support for what the Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Al-Sudani put forward in his speech after his assignment to head the government, while putting forward proposals for cooperation during the next stage.
Awad said during a statement received by Mawazine News, addressing Al-Sudani, saying: “We listened to your speech and saw that this speech needs real efforts and cooperation from the loyal to transform it on the ground and make it a success. 1 -
To start your plans starting with the province of Basra, provided that it is a model for the rest of the provinces of Iraq.
2- Declaring Basra demilitarized from the factions and clans, and the removal of military headquarters, with all their names, from the city center.
3- Starting a major reconstruction campaign in Basra, from its accumulated financial dues to the central government, especially as we are on the threshold of (Gulf 25) and Basra must appear as befits it and Iraq.
4- Completing the construction of water projects and stations, with directing the governorates not to throw heavy water (sewage) into the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and setting binding time periods for completion.
5- Speeding up the construction of the Shatt Al-Arab dam to deal with the salt tides.
6- The real interest in the great port of Faw.
7- Restoring life to factories all over Iraq, especially Basra factories, and building the (Al-Nibras) petrochemical project and making its connection with the Ministry of Oil.
8- Directing foreign oil companies to replace foreign workers with Iraqis exclusively, for a period of time not exceeding one year.
9- Building border crossings, as it is the front of Iraq and a source of budget financing.
10- (Coordination) and because of my closeness to them and my continuous contact with them for years, we can stop all demonstrations if you give us a promise to them and set time periods to solve all their problems, we only need certain decisions and what you need from the House of Representatives.
