    The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic issued a clarification as follows:
    After the return of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, from the League of Arab States summit held in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, and from the Climate Summit in Sharm al-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt, some of the parties who do not want Iraq And the Iraqis of goodness and peace raised an uproar with which they wanted to disturb the successes that accompanied the president's visits, which were expressed in the positive meetings with many leaders who attended the two summits.
    All these meetings were disclosed in the official statements that were issued by the Media Office of the President of the Republic, which immediately followed all the meetings and interviews that took place, as no activity, meeting, or meeting took place in any of the two brotherly countries that was not announced.
    Iraq's position was clear and frank in expressing its policy based on respect for common interests and its commitment to major issues, foremost of which is the problem of the Palestinian Arab people. This position was appreciated and respected by all, and this was expressed by the Palestinian President, Brother Mahmoud Abbas, in his meeting with His Excellency the President, in which he praised the Iraqi position as the President disclosed it.
    The noble sentiments expressed by the friendly and brotherly leaders confirmed everyone's keenness on Iraq's position and its active effectiveness in its regional and international environment, and those feelings were met by His Excellency the President with happiness and welcome and confirmation of Iraq's keenness on a safe and stable political environment in our region.
    Our clarification comes as an expression of respect for the public opinion's right to be informed of the facts, and not as a preoccupation with idle chatter whose only concern is to disturb the sober Iraqi position.
