    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani confirmed during a press conference held last Tuesday that the government did not rush to send the 2023 budget to the House of Representatives because the issue requires further scrutiny of the status of financial obligations, pointing out that the budget will include for the first time the government's vision and the ministerial platform. The

    assumptions on which the budget is based so far: -
    * The official exchange rate for the dollar = 1450 dinars.

    * Public expenditures = 180 trillion dinars = 124 billion dollars, which is the largest in the history of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

    Conclusions: -
    * Oil revenues = 122 trillion dinars.
    * Non-oil revenues = 18 trillion dinars.
    * Public revenues = 140 trillion dinars.
    - Covering the deficit will be from the financial surplus achieved in 2022.
    - Public expenditures for the 2023 budget exceed the 2021 budget and the actual spending for 2022 by about 50 trillion dinars, according to economists.

    Broken laws
    The [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/467780320/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]legal committee[/url] in the Iraqi parliament revealed that there are 170 suspended laws from previous parliamentary sessions, which are currently being discussed and attempted to be included in the agenda of parliament sessions for voting on them, amidst assurances that these laws are not passed without political consensus.
