The General Company for Construction Materials Trade in the Ministry of Commerce announced, on Thursday, the stability of the prices of construction materials available in all the company's stores in Baghdad and all governorates, despite the high exchange rates of the dollar during the current period.
The Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, Ghassan Farhan Hamid, said, "Based on the directives of the Prime Minister during his visit to the Ministry of Commerce during the past few days to enhance the work of the companies affiliated with the Ministry, the company continues to sell construction materials at the same previous prices that were approved by disposing of construction materials before the rise in the local market and for various materials.
" There are facilities in the process of direct selling of all construction materials without restriction or condition,
and he pointed out that the materials that the company deals with are solid materials and are subject to approved quality control standards, pointing to the importance of supporting all segments of society and eliminating monopoly in all its forms.
