Today, Saturday, the Victory Coalition revealed a meeting of political forces to discuss the dollar crisis in Iraq.
The leader of the coalition, Aqil al-Rudaini, told (Baghdad Today) that "the political forces will hold a meeting to discuss the crisis of the dollar's high exchange rate in the local markets, and to search for solutions in order to come up." with a single position towards the crisis and support the decisions that contribute to its solution. .
He stressed that "the meetings of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani are continuing in order to find the necessary quick solutions regarding the high exchange rate of the dollar in the local market."
Al-Rudaini indicated that "the Victory Coalition believes that the Sudanese government will be able to overcome this crisis during the next few days," noting that "there are reforms and procedures that will contribute to resolving the crisis."
And the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar has been witnessing, for more than two months, a decline against the US dollar at an upward pace on an almost daily basis, as the exchange rate reached Thursday and Friday, to the threshold of 170 thousand dinars , and in some financial markets and stock exchanges it reached about 175 thousand dinars per 100 dollars, which is a record that has not been previously registered.
