    Shafaq News/ Representatives of minorities in the Iraqi Parliament called, on Tuesday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi to reconsider the distribution of chairs in parliamentary committees, after what they called their deliberate exclusion and lack of representation in them.
    Representative Waad Al-Quddo said about the Shabak minority during a press conference held in the parliament building with the participation of representatives of the components, and was attended by the Shafaq News Agency correspondent, "The parliamentary committees met a few days ago with all their members, in the presence of the Presidency of the Council, to choose the heads of the committees and their deputies, and we regret what happened during the meetings of a clear imbalance in representation The components in the parliamentary committees, and it is an extension of the marginalization that was practiced against the components in the formation of the government and today it is practiced by the political blocs against us in distributing the committees, excluding some minority representatives from the parliamentary committees and marginalizing them from their entitlement to chair the committees and their deputies.



    Al-Quddo called on the Presidency of the House of Representatives to reconsider the distribution of committees and to adopt the principle of participation for all components in the House of Representatives to exercise its oversight role over the ruling executive apparatus.
    The Iraqi Council of Representatives recently voted on the members of its 25 parliamentary committees, after it canceled previous decisions regarding the distribution of its deputies to those committees. He proceeded to select the chairs and their deputies for those committees.
