Today, Sunday, the House of Representatives issued a clarification about the elections for parliamentary committee chairs and accusations about the exclusion of opposition blocs.

The council stated, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that "Ishraqa Canon Bloc issued a statement in which it stated that the opposition blocs had been excluded from the positions of chairpersons of parliamentary committees and their deputies, and that the process of electing chairpersons of the committees is quota.

And she explained, "This information is baseless, at a time when the parliamentary committees in the House of Representatives today elected their heads and deputies in a democratic practice, in which all the parliamentary blocs represented in the parliament participated in it, except for the Ishraqa Canon bloc, which distanced itself from participating in these elections, which contribute to a degree.” Great in activating the work of the committees and the council, just as the aforementioned bloc did not nominate the chairpersons of the committees or their deputies, and this matter is considered a failure by the bloc to carry out its constitutional duties.

Earlier in the day, the Ishraqa Kanoon bloc expressed its objection to the elections for the heads of parliamentary committees and their deputies, while noting that it was quotas and excluded the parliamentary opposition blocs.
