Shafaq News/ The Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, withdrew from a press conference he held today, Monday, to explain the outcomes of the Iraqi delegation's visit to America, due to health reasons that forced him to leave.
Shafaq News agency reporter, who attended the conference, said that the foreign minister withdrew after answering some of the journalists' questions, as a result of a sudden health problem that forced him to leave the conference hall.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Omar Al-Barzanji, who took the conference platform instead of the minister, announced that "the conference was suspended due to a health reason that caused pain to the minister." He attributed it to "the minister's return from a travel that affected his health, forcing him to withdraw."
He added, "Since the minister spoke and explained the outcomes of the Iraqi delegation's visit to Washington and communicated the message to the public opinion, therefore we believe that what the minister said was sufficient."
