Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Water Resources confirmed that the recent rains will increase the river level, achieve the weaning irrigation system, and enhance the strategic storage.[/size]
[size=45]The Director General of the General Authority for Irrigation and Reclamation Projects, and the ministry's official spokesman, Khaled Shamal, said in a press statement, "The rain that falls north and up the Samarra Dam is stored in the natural storage lakes, at the front of the dams, and achieves the weaning irrigation and increases the green cover."[/size]
[size=45]Shamal explained, "The rainfall in the south of the Samarra dam and downwards, increases the river level and also achieves the weaning irrigation," noting that "the northern rains are more beneficial and easier to store and circulate."[/size]
[size=45]He stressed, "The rains enhance the strategic storage, and reduce the depletion of the storage at the same time."[/size]
