Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani set, on Friday, the date for the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan region.
Abdul-Ghani said in a statement that the central government has reached the final stages of implementing the agreement with Erbil regarding the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan region, pointing out that the Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), which undertook the process of receiving and exporting oil from the region, is now in the process of signing contracts with companies that You buy oil.
He pointed out that the resumption of oil exports will be announced in the coming days.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani announced the agreement to resume exporting Kurdistan region's oil, stressing the technical authorities to immediately implement the agreement with Erbil.
Al-Sudani said during a press conference that the technical authorities should immediately implement the agreement with Erbil and find legal ways for this matter.
He explained that the agreement confirms the serious and sincere desire of the federal government and the Kurdistan government to confront all the problems and obstacles that were inherited years ago and were postponed and we did not reach solutions.
