    Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani chaired today, Wednesday, a regular session of the Ministerial Council for National Security, during which water, borders and demonstrations were discussed.
    The meeting also took place, according to a statement received by Shafaq News agency, "developments in the security situation in the country, and a follow-up to the military and security plans prepared to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs."



    The session witnessed deliberations on a number of topics on the agenda, and the issuance of decisions and recommendations in this regard.
    Where the challenges of the water situation and climatic variables were discussed, and their impact on national security, plans were drawn up to address the water shortage during the coming summer period, and work was taken to find alternatives and means to limit water waste, and to ensure the flow of rivers to the extent that meets the minimum requirements, and many measures have been taken. procedures to do so.
    The session also discussed the requirements for securing the Iraqi borders with Iran and Turkey, in a way that contributes to enhancing the country's security and stability. There was also discussion of the controls for securing peaceful demonstrations, and the duty to provide the necessary protection for them, as a right guaranteed by the constitution.
    In this regard, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces praised the performance of the security forces in dealing with peaceful demonstrators and preserving their security and safety. Mechanisms for dealing with metal waste and benefiting from it in the national industry of the Military Industrialization Authority were also discussed, in a way that enhances the work of the authority in developing its production.
