And he stated, "As part of the strategic study, there is a group of dams that are planned to be completed for the purposes of generating electric power, but this is controversial because the ministry is not the beneficiary of the production of this energy because energy is within the competence of the Ministry of Electricity, and we are an authority specialized in implementing dams, so there is a debate about financing."
He pointed out that "there is continuous and sustainable work to maintain the dams, especially the Mosul Dam to preserve it, as its condition is good and stable now, while the rest of the dams also have cooperation in the direction of their maintenance, especially the Dokan Dam and the Darbandikhan Dam in the region, and these dams are part of the overall system of the water system." in Iraq".

This has a significant positive impact," stressing that "there is a tendency to invest any amount of water that comes from the torrents." The rain in the valleys has two purposes: the first is to benefit communities, and the second is to recharge groundwater, and this is a strategic purpose.”
