A statement by the ministry stated, "Minister of Communications Hiyam al-Yasiri discussed with representatives of the international space x company, a project to provide internet service via space, during a meeting that took place remotely (video conference) in the presence of the advanced technical staff in the ministry and its formations."
The statement indicated that "during the meeting, an explanatory explanation was heard from the company about the project, while Al-Yasiri discussed with the company a number of important issues, especially the security aspect," stressing that "the need for project management, control and control to be exclusively in the hands of the ministry."

The statement added, "It was reached with the aforementioned company to reduce the prices of the system that the user buys and the subscription price to a large extent compared to prices in other countries that launched the service, in addition to the ease of its acquisition and the speed of its access to the citizen shortly after the request."
On the other hand, "representatives of the company expressed their desire to cooperate with the ministry and contract with it in this field, and it was agreed to hold a physical meeting with officials in the ministry to discuss the exact details of the project."
It is noteworthy that the system does not need technical procedures to install it, but the citizen can obtain the service directly from the satellite as soon as it is acquired.
