    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Saturday (September 2, 2023), a leader in the coordination framework denied the news that the Popular Mobilization Forces had called on the people of Sinjar district in Nineveh Governorate to volunteer to fight in Syria after the recent security developments in the city of Deir ez-Zor, while a leader in the Al-Fateh Alliance accused the United States of trying to " Bringing terrorism back" to the region by raising tension on the Iraqi-Syrian border.
The leader in the framework, Aed al-Hilali, told "Baghdad Today" that "the news that talks about the popular crowd opening volunteering for the people of Sinjar to fight in Syria is completely incorrect, because the crowd is an official security institution and its tasks are inside Iraqi territory, and it cannot carry out any security duty outside the border".
And Al-Hilali stated, "The PMF is an institution that reports directly to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and it is not possible to move without orders from the Commander-in-Chief." Information based on anonymous sources.
Yesterday, Friday, some media outlets reported a source they described as "the government" who stated that factions belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces stationed in the district had launched an appeal to the people wishing to volunteer and travel to Syria," noting that "the process of registering the names of the volunteers is taking place in complete secrecy in one of the crowd camps, opposite He gave them a salary of 3,000 dollars per month for each volunteer to form a military force that will be stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border, west of the Sinjar district.”
In a related context, the Al-Fateh Alliance revealed, today, Saturday, the goal of what is happening on the Iraqi-Syrian border, in terms of security tension and clashes between multiple parties inside the Syrian territories.
The leader of the coalition, Ali al-Zaidi, told "Baghdad Today" that "what is happening on the Iraqi-Syrian border, the United States of America stands behind it, as it wants to bring terrorism back to the region again by raising such security and internal problems in Syria and near Iraq, until It remains influential and dominant in the region," he said.
Al-Zaidi stated, "Iraq is not with any party against any other party, but rather it is with what guarantees its security and stability," noting that "Iraq's communication with the SDF was through the international coalition."
The leader in Fatah called on the Iraqi government to "tighten security and military measures on the border with Syria to prevent any loopholes that the enemies might exploit to destabilize Iraq's security again, and this is what Washington wants in the next stage."
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) imposed a 48-hour curfew in the areas under its control in Deir Ezzor Governorate, where at least 54 people were killed in battles that took place last week between its Kurdish-dominated units and fighters affiliated with Arab clans.
The situation exploded in Deir ez-Zor after the “SDF” arrested, on Sunday, the commander of the “Deir ez-Zor Military Council,” Ahmed al-Khabil, known as Abu Khawla, in the city of Hasakah, which sparked tension that developed into armed clashes that left, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least 54 people dead. According to a new report he reported on Friday evening.
The US-backed "Qasd" forces consist of Kurdish and Arab factions, led by the Kurdish People's Protection Units. These forces are stationed on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, which divides Deir ez-Zor Governorate.
