The leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassim Muhammad Jaafar, confirmed on Saturday that the Hamdaniya tragedy has begun to take another turn and be exploited electorally, especially between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Christians who are part of the coordination framework, while he indicated that there are some parties trying to exploit it to postpone the elections, including the October Forces.

Jaafar said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “Recently, we began to see the development of a new electoral conflict between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and a Christian political force allied with the coordination framework.”
He added, "There is concern among the political forces about the widespread exploitation of the tragedy, which they realize will be harmed during the upcoming elections, especially the October forces."
Jaafar pointed out that "these forces are trying to stir up the Hamdaniyah tragedy politically in order to postpone the provincial council elections."
He pointed out that "the elections will be held on time, no matter how much these forces try to escalate and exploit the tragedy politically."
It is noteworthy that a massive fire occurred, on Tuesday night last week, inside an event hall in the Al-Hamdaniya district in Nineveh Governorate, resulting in hundreds of victims. Ended / 25 AD
