    As part of plans to enhance food security, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, today, Sunday, November 19, 2023, inaugurated the (Dastar Flour) factory in Dohuk Governorate.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister said in his speech during the ceremony that the ninth ministerial formation is doing everything in its power to ensure food security, by supporting the agricultural sector and marketing farmers’ products.[/size]
    [size=45]He added that the government is working to find local and foreign markets for farmers’ products, and is also ready to provide facilities to the private sector to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector.[/size]
    [size=45]He stressed that coordination between the government and the private sector had resulted in the implementation of important projects in the region, and expressed the government's commitment to supporting local crops and marketing them locally and globally.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister indicated that implementing such projects enhances farmers' opportunities to sell their products, which constitutes an incentive for them to enhance agricultural production, explaining at the same time that the process of exporting local products to foreign markets has actually begun in recent years, and will move forward in the future.[/size]
    [size=45]He explained that Kurdistan has been an important agricultural region since ancient times, and that it possesses vast and rich lands that can be exploited to ensure food security for the region, making it a food basket for Iraq and the world.[/size]
    [size=45]He said that the Kurdistan Regional Government is ready to provide all facilities to the private sector to move the Kurdistan Region to an advanced stage alongside the public sector.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister called on investors to take advantage of the opportunities available in the agricultural and industrial sectors in the Kurdistan Region, in order to support the local economy and reduce dependence on imports.[/size]
