    The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities began developing mechanisms for operating pivotal weighing stations throughout the governorates, in coordination with the investment companies implementing them.
    The Director General of the Department of Roads and Bridges in the Ministry, Engineer Hussein Jassim Kazem, said in an interview with Al-Sabah, followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that the department held an expanded meeting to discuss and discuss the requirements and mechanisms necessary to operate pivotal weighing stations in all governorates with one system, with the aim of controlling excess loads. In coordination with the investment companies responsible for establishing and rehabilitating these stations.
    He pointed out that the department discussed with these companies the investment contracts and their terms, in addition to the implementation and qualification mechanism under the contracts signed for the 65 weighing stations, distributed among all governorates except the Kurdistan region, and in several axes that include east, north and west of Baghdad, as well as Mosul, Salah al-Din, Kirkuk and Diyala. In addition to Babylon, Diwaniyah, Najaf al-Ashraf, Basra, and Dhi Qar, as well as Holy Karbala, Anbar, and Muthanna.
    Kazem explained that the department emphasized the necessity of preparing and training the necessary personnel to operate these stations, and equipping them with scales from reliable, reliable international origins, in addition to unifying electronic systems and software and linking them to the directorates and the department’s headquarters, with an emphasis on activating electronic collection for the stations.
