    The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced, on Saturday, the identification of 65 weighing stations on five main axes throughout Iraq in preparation for launching projects to implement them, while stressing the application of the highest technical and standard specifications in their work. 
    The official spokesman for the ministry, Istibraq Sabah, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the meetings are ongoing; for the purpose of referring the weighing stations as investment projects, as 65 weighing stations have been identified throughout Iraq, except for the governorates of the Kurdistan Region, with 5 main axes, and projects will be launched to implement them in a major and vital manner to preserve the roads and entrances to cities, including Baghdad." 

    He added on the other hand, that "the Roads and Bridges Department in the Ministry of Construction and Housing follows the highest technical and standard specifications in all its projects, whether they are traffic congestion relief projects, entrance projects, or the fourth ring road, which will be launched in the coming period," indicating that "there is a directive not only to complete these projects within the timeframes, but also to emphasize the technical specifications and follow the highest specifications in the implemented projects." 

    He stressed that "the technical specifications provide continuity and resistance to these projects in bearing weights and climatic conditions, and this is what is emphasized."
