The source said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The governor of Nineveh-designate, Abdul Qadir Dakhil, directed the granting of compulsory leaves to officials in the local government and employees of institutions and departments who ran for the elections on December 18 of this month.”
He added, "The directive came to prevent the exploitation of state resources and to emphasize the independence of the departments in staying away from the political movement and its debates."
On December 18, the country’s provincial council elections will be held, in which thousands of candidates will participate. Ended 25 February
