The Ministry of Transport has prepared plans to improve the quality of air freight services, in addition to allocating additional flights on the national carrier to a number of sectors in conjunction with the New Year’s holiday season.
Director of the Ministry’s Media Office, Maitham Al-Safi, said in a statement to “Al-Sabah” followed by “Al-Iqtisad News” that his Ministry has prepared integrated plans to improve air freight services and expand them to include many countries of the world, by adopting the latest technological means in this vital field, in cooperation with all regional and foreign airlines and facilitating All procedures related to shipping steps for the government and private sectors.
He explained that the plans revolve around revitalizing the work of the air fleet and developing it at the same time, as well as improving services and diversifying destinations by adopting the expansion of flights during the coming period, through the important additions included in the action plan, from restarting suspended lines and working to open new regional and international destinations.
Al-Safi stated that his ministry has canceled the time restriction on travel tickets for retirees, the wounded of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the security forces, and people with disabilities, as a contribution to serving these segments, which have provided great services to society, noting that work is underway to double the number of flights in conjunction with the New Year’s holiday season, especially towards Beirut, Egypt, and Turkey. And Dubai, with the launch of discounted offers to Arab and international destinations through the country’s airports.
