On Sunday, Representative Waad Al-Qaddo accused the American embassy of violating all diplomatic norms and ethics regarding relations and respect for the country’s sovereignty.

Al-Qaddo said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “Baghdad has more than 90 embassies for most countries in the world, and it is carrying out its activities normally. In fact, most of its cadres go on tours and attend various meetings, seminars, and events without any security risks.”
He added, "The American embassy is different from everyone else. It plays roles far from the diplomatic sphere and penetrates it at 6 points through direct interventions in internal affairs according to very provocative paths."
He pointed out that "we respect the laws protecting embassies, but in return, the American embassy must respect the essence of diplomatic work and not practice the principle of the grand master in Baghdad, since Iraq has sovereignty, an elected government, and a parliament that came with the votes of its people."
The American embassy is facing harsh criticism because of its blatant interference in Iraqi affairs and attempts to pressure it to pass an agenda. End 25
