Today, Sunday (October 6, 2024), the head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad, Muhammad Kazim Al-Sadiq, called on all international organizations to pressure to stop the war and implement international laws, resolutions, and outcomes of international legitimacy on the usurping Israeli entity.
The National State Forces Alliance said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "Al-Hakim and the Iranian ambassador in Baghdad met this morning," noting that "the two parties called for action to hold meetings for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, and all international organizations to pressure towards stopping the war and implementing international laws, resolutions, and outcomes of international legitimacy on the usurping Israeli entity."
He added: "The developments of the political scene in the region and the dangerous escalation in Gaza and Lebanon were discussed," noting that "Al-Hakim stressed during the meeting the importance of everyone's efforts to stop this war that the Israeli entity seeks to expand."
The statement explained that "the two parties also stressed the need to provide relief to the displaced and intensify efforts in the humanitarian field."
According to the statement, Al-Hakim called for "multiple official and unofficial paths in this direction," praising "the efforts of the Iraqi government, the holy shrines, and the political and social institutions that responded to the call of the supreme religious authority in the relief path, in addition to the effective contribution of the Iraqi people in this field."
