The total sales of the Central Bank of Iraq of hard currency for the US dollar during the days in which the auction was opened last week exceeded one billion dollars.
The Central Bank sold during the past week and for the 4 days in which the auction was opened one billion and 36 million and 172 thousand and 839 dollars, at a daily average of 259 million and 43 thousand and 210 dollars, lower than the previous week, which amounted to one billion and 269 million and 615 thousand and 49 dollars.
The highest sales of the dollar were on Monday, where sales amounted to 263 million and 26 thousand and 598 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Tuesday, where sales amounted to 253 million and 928 thousand and 810 dollars.
Foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to 994 million and 422 thousand and 839 dollars, an increase of 96% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 41 million and 750 thousand dollars.
