Former Prime Minister and head of the Victory Coalition Haider al-Abadi confirmed today, Saturday, that the Zionist entity may target Iraq, while indicating that it is not permissible to rush recklessly towards war for private gains.
Al-Abadi said in an interview followed by /Mawazine News/, "The escalation by the usurping Zionist entity is backed by the madman Benjamin Netanyahu in order to remain in power. He is spreading war and destruction in Gaza and Lebanon and has a dishonorable goal in launching a criminal war. Therefore, Iraq has no choice but to stay and show solidarity with the Palestinian people and stand with Lebanon in a unified position."
He added, "It is not new for the Zionist entity to bomb countries and cause humanitarian disasters in them, as happened in Gaza and southern Lebanon in terms of destruction, and it may target Iraq, but our position is to preserve our people and we are responsible for protecting our people from threats."
He added, "It is not permissible to rush recklessly towards war and sacrifice our interests for private gains, and this is what we hope from everyone."
