The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Tuesday, that it had carried out three seizure operations in the Real Estate Registration Directorate and one of the companies affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals in Diyala Governorate.
The Authority’s Government Media and Communications Office said, in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, “The Performance Evaluation and Anti-Bribery Committee in the Diyala Investigation Office, which moved to the Real Estate Registration Directorate, seized an employee in the directorate’s accounts in possession of sums of money that she took from auditors as Fee amounts exceeding the legally prescribed fee,” indicating that “after presenting the accused to the competent investigating judge, he decided to arrest her, based on the provisions of Article (307) of the Penal Code.”
The statement added, "A field team composed of the Diyala Investigation Office revealed a violation of the law and damage to public funds in a partnership contract project that the Diyala Electrical Industries Company referred to a general trade company for the purpose of establishing a new line to produce new and advanced types and generations of optical cables," pointing out He pointed out that "Diyala Company made its profits small, and much less than the percentage of the supplying company."
He continued, "Diyala Electrical Industries Company sought to complete the procedures for transferring an investment opportunity on a plot of land designated for industrial projects," noting that the company has converted the land belonging to it, amounting to an area of (60) dunams, into an investment project. For the purpose of establishing a residential and commercial complex in violation of the law.”
