Acoustic Data, the global leader in multi-year wireless data collection for oil well drilling, the oil and gas industry and underground energy storage, has won a multi-million dollar contract from a major oil field services company in Iraq for SonicGauge wireless monitoring systems. The UK-based company will deploy SonicGauge wireless monitoring systems across a large number of assets.
Jesse Tully, Chief Commercial Officer, stated the importance of the contract for the company, saying: “This project represents a major commercial edifice for “Acoustic Data” in the Middle East, where our proprietary technology “SonicGauge” using wireline will be deployed across a large number of assets in order to provide "Access real-time, multi-year data. Additionally, SonicSync will allow the operator to execute high-frequency well testing programs on demand and without interference, demonstrating superior capability in the industry."
Toll added: “While our engineering team is primarily focused on downhole data collection via wireless communications, we will be launching new command-driven technologies for completions, shaft depth testing and production well testing in 2024. Most of these technologies will be deployed in the Middle East and East Asia region.” for the first time".
