    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Representative Mudar Al-Karawi confirmed today, Monday (March 11, 2024), that Sudanese has begun to uncover 5 hot files in Iraq, the most important of which are related to energy, lagging projects, and dollar smuggling.
Al-Karawi said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The Sudanese government was born from the womb of difficult circumstances that Iraq went through, and it is the product of political consensuses after it adopted a government program that was presented in the House of Representatives and received support and support."
He added, "The Sudanese government has begun to uncover 5 hot files in Iraq, including the parallel market and the smuggling of the dollar, leading to the draining of the national economy through smuggling in all its forms, not to mention the whales of corruption that have obstructed the revival of Iraqi factories for more than 20 years, in addition to reducing the import bill for fuel products all the way." To open the doors to investing in the gas that has been burning in Iraq’s atmosphere for more than 100 years.”
He pointed out that "there are successes achieved by Al-Sudani in a short period by reviving hundreds of projects that remained stagnant for more than 14 years, in addition to distancing Baghdad from the crises of the Middle East as much as possible and preventing Iraq from being an arena for settling regional and international scores. The evidence is many."
He continued, "The Sudanese policies have begun to raise concerns among some forces, and there are those who put the stick in the wheels, and this is expected," pointing out that "criticism of any government action must be in accordance with a constructive principle and not in accordance with political rivalries, especially since the people have begun to realize that there are results being achieved, especially with regard to "With the housing and construction crisis, the government, for the first time, is not a party to political debates, and its work is limited to the construction and services file."
The Sudanese government recorded a number of tangible results in most of the issues that Iraq had been suffering from for years, including reducing the lagging projects from 1,400 to 900 currently lagging projects only, by more than 36%, in addition to reducing the import of fuel from 15 million liters per day to 5 million liters per day. Currently only, in addition to operating a number of factories, the most recent of which is the steel and iron rolling mill in Basra, which has been closed for 20 years, in addition to starting projects to zero gas burning, which will hopefully stop burning all gas within 5 years, which will raise Iraq’s gas production from 16 to 30 billion cubic meters annually, according to government figures and reports.
