    The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, confirmed that the reform approach in the security services is an integral part of the reform in the rest of the sectors, while indicating that the government is continuing to move the stalled projects in all governorates.
    The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement: The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Committee for Security Reform, during which the implementation of reforms in the security sectors was reviewed, as part of the requirements of the Iraqi security system in the post-victory phase over ISIS.     He added: The committee approved the security sector reform strategy 2024-2032, and this strategy is based on carrying out a comprehensive reform of the security system, in a manner that is consistent with the components and requirements of democratic systems, in accountability, transparency, and taking into account human rights principles, and is also based on developing capabilities.
    During the meeting, Al-Sudani stressed that the reform approach in the security services is an integral part of the reform in the rest of the economic, financial and social sectors, especially since these steps are parallel to the development of the security and combat capabilities of our security services and our armed forces in general. The statement continued: The meeting witnessed a discussion of the armament aspects and the necessities that It is imposed by the duties assigned to the security services, and technological progress in this field, in addition to research into consolidating the tasks and duties between the various military and security formations, especially after the progress made in transferring security responsibilities in cities from the Ministry of Defense to the agencies of the Ministry of Interior and the local police.
    The committee stressed the necessity of creating the necessary legal legislation for all sectors and security agencies, in accordance with international standards.
    Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed that a package of projects to relieve traffic congestion will contribute to reducing the waste of citizens’ time, indicating that the government is continuing to move the stalled projects in all governorates.
    A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, received by Al-Zawraa, stated: “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani conducted an inspection tour of the Nisour Square project site, which is one of the projects to relieve traffic congestion west of the capital, Baghdad, accompanied by the Minister of Construction and Housing, Benkin Rikani, and a company official.
