    {Politics: Al-Furat News} Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the details of the meeting of the Supreme Coordination Committee (HCC) between Iraq and America.

    A statement from the ministry, a copy of which {Al-Furat News} received, stated that the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani to America confirmed new paths in bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States of America, the most important of which is the transition to comprehensive relations in various sectors (economic, political, and cultural), in addition to the security aspects. The visit clearly demonstrated Iraq's commitment to the outcomes of the Supreme Military Committee concerned with ending the international coalition's mission in Iraq. 
    The Iraqi delegation confirmed the joint work with the United States of America through the Supreme Coordination Committee (HCC) after Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Muhammad Tamim headed the Iraqi side, while the American side was headed by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The meeting dealt with important files, most notably energy, investment, transportation, education, and the challenges of change. climate change and building strong partnerships. All topics were discussed and specialized working papers were reached through five joint subcommittees that addressed five important axes of the strategic framework agreement. 
    In this regard, the two delegations stressed that Iraq has the ability to benefit from the vast natural gas resources, invest in new infrastructure for renewable energy sources, and achieve energy self-sufficiency by 2030. 
    The United States also praised the progress achieved by Iraq in reducing gas emissions and working to market the associated gas. The great gas potential in Iraqi Kurdistan is a major element of energy security in Iraq. 
    In this direction, Baghdad and Washington announced the signing of new memorandums of understanding to treat flaring gas by taking advantage of the American private sector’s technology and pioneering experience. 
    Iraq stressed that strengthening relations based on common mutual interests with neighboring countries is necessary to achieve internal prosperity. 

    The two delegations discussed the great progress achieved by Iraq in modernizing its financial and banking sector, and the importance of improving the investment climate in Iraq and combating corruption, which are two basic pillars of the reform efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, was noted. 
    Other positive results resulted from this meeting, including those related to education, health, or the success of other government measures in the field of displaced persons, especially those related to Al-Hawl refugee camp. 
    The Prime Minister's visit received internal support and support due to its importance at this time that is witnessing major regional and international developments and challenges, while Iraq is strengthening its international standing. The Prime Minister held exceptional meetings with American officials and economic companies and also inspected the conditions of the Iraqi community residing in the cities of the United States.
