    [rtl]Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Water Resources announced the continuation of the campaign to remove encroachments on the banks of the Tigris River, while identifying three axes to remove them.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The official responsible for removing violations in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage projects in Baghdad, Haqqi Ismail, said in a statement received by Al-Eqtisad News: “Engineering and technical personnel are continuing to remove violations of all kinds and forms on the banks of the Tigris River inside the capital, Baghdad.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]He explained, "The works included the areas of Al-Bu'itha and Al-Zafaraniya and the bottom of the Al-Zayut Bridge in order to return the river section to the design section and provide a road for monitoring and work on the banks of the Tigris River and to pass the flood waves and the increase in drainage towards the southern governorates."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, "The campaign was carried out with the governmental effort of the Ministry and in cooperation with the Water Resources Directorate in Baghdad and the River Irrigation Works Implementation Department and with the support of the security forces holding the land," stressing that "the work will continue until all violations are lifted within the scope of responsibility."[/rtl]
