    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:[/rtl]
[rtl]Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed that the Federal Court's decision to withdraw the powers to appoint special grades from the Speaker of the House of Representatives and his two deputies is unconstitutional. [/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Mandlawi said in a televised interview: “We respect the decisions of the Federal Court and the principle of separation of powers must be implemented.” [/rtl]
[rtl]He continued: "We were surprised by this decision. The legislative session will begin on 10/7, and the Federal Court will be contacted to explain this decision."[/rtl]
[rtl] It is noteworthy that earlier, the Federal Supreme Court issued a decision declaring the unconstitutionality of the authority of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and his two deputies to appoint job grades that require a recommendation for appointment from the Council of Ministers to the House of Representatives.[/rtl]
[rtl] The ruling stated that this procedure contradicts the constitutional provisions that stipulate that the government must issue a recommendation to parliament before any official appointment process.[/rtl]
