    [size=45]The leader of the Progress Party, Hisham Raafat, confirmed that there is seriousness from all parties to nominate the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the coming days, indicating that until now no candidate has been identified for the Speaker of the House of Representatives.[/size]
    [size=45]Raafat said, "A date will be set for a session to elect the Speaker of Parliament during this month, and then voting will be held in the session, if one candidate is presented, according to what was reported by the other political parties in the Shiite and Kurdish components," indicating that "until now, no candidate has been determined for the Speaker of the House of Representatives."[/size]
    [size=45]The Progress Party member added, "If there is no agreement on a single candidate to fill the position of Parliament Speaker, this session may be postponed to another session for the purpose of election."[/size]

    [size=45]The Coordination Framework, which brings together the ruling Shiite political forces in the country, had set July 20 as the date for the Sunni blocs to decide on the nomination of a new speaker of the Iraqi parliament, stressing that after this date the matter would be left to the members of the House of Representatives to choose for themselves who they see as suitable for this position.[/size]
    [size=45]Last year, the Judicial Court announced the termination of the membership of former Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, while the political parties and forces have not yet been able to name a new Parliament Speaker due to the existing differences between them.[/size]
