The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, said, “We have issued 40 million and 152 thousand registered national cards until Thursday,” noting that during the year and a half of the life of this government, we have issued more than 15 million cards with exceptional efforts.
He added, "We completed a qualitative operation last night by arresting several wanted persons and seizing prohibited materials in their possession," noting "the ambition to keep pace with global developments through automation and converting the work system to electronic work and training all officers and ranks to achieve more efforts."
He pointed out that "there are priorities in security work by striking large gangs and we dismantled hundreds of gangs, including the Bataween operation, which largely ended criminal and illegal activities."

The Ministry of Interior announced the issuance of more than 40 million national cards, which represents nearly 93% of the total number of Iraqis, according to estimates by the Ministry of Planning, with the presence of more than 43 million Iraqis.
